The Grey Matter is a quarterly newsletter, run by and for medical students across India. Here, creativity is the norm. Between the pages of the newsletter, one can find inspiration, motivation, insightful messages and a few laughs. It hopes to instil a resolve among students to become great doctors, healers and so much more. We publish a variety of articles about Medicine, Social and Humanitarian issues, and their interlinking relationships. At its core, the newsletter believes that to bring about a change in the society, a revolution from within is essential and one of the ways to bring about this change is to Keep Reading!

We’re greying now: The History
​
The newsletter was started by Riya Barar and Damini Narkhede, in their second year of MBBS with the intention of publishing a 4 sided monthly leaflet for the students of M.I.M.E.R. Medical College, Talegaon. Trial-and-error have helped the newsletter become what it is today. The newsletter is published every quarter, each edition is now regularly over 20 pages. The growing interest of students led it to become a Quarterly Newsletter for medical students across the country. So it's safe to say, their plans didn't work out. They hope this little project of theirs inspires students to build on their ideas and pursue their ambitions.

The Plans, To-do lists and Future!
The Grey Matter plans to expand its work beyond the margins of its paper and has some exciting projects planned for the future!
